Multimedia journalist looking for the story within the story.
(Scroll down to read about my story.)

I’m a multimedia journalist and storyteller with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Texas State University in May, with minors in Art History and Music. I’m drawn to the story within the story and align my processes with a solutions journalism approach.
The first newspaper I ran was in my home at age 6 when I decided to start interviewing my family with a cassette recorder and typing up a weekly paper with household updates.
During college, I reported on politics from Capitol Hill in D.C. in video format (Keeping Up With Congress on TikTok), wrote for local and collegiate publications including the The San Marcos Daily Record and The University Star, and served as Editor in Chief of Her Campus at Texas State, where I led a team of 12 writers for the #1 women’s college media publication. I also served as President of Texas State’s Society of Professional Journalists, strengthening my leadership skills and commitment to ethical, collaborative journalism, bringing in my D.C. journalist contacts to speak after coming back to Texas from my political coverage.
In addition, while in college, I interviewed faculty for the university’s podcast and worked both in front of and behind the camera in a marketing role, gaining daily experience in content development, on-camera performance, and audience-focused storytelling.
Most recently, I work as a multimedia journalist for Austin Lifestyle Magazine, covering major cultural events including Austin Film Festival and Austin City Limits, as well as celebrity events and lifestyle stories that impact the local community. My work includes red carpet interviews, one-on-one artist features, written editorial coverage, and social media storytelling.
I also currently produce Crowdsourced, an original interview series shared on social media, created while traveling internationally and centered on capturing diverse perspectives and human stories in real time.
My foundation is built on hands-on experience across video, written, audio, and digital journalism. My approach is rooted in research, curiosity, and collaboration, and I thrive in fast-paced, team-driven environments. Above all, I’m motivated by storytelling that informs, connects, and empowers people to make informed decisions.
